Resident organisations

Resident organisations are an integral part of the venue and make a major contribution to its cultural and artistic vibrancy. As part of the cultural programme, artistic projects are developed in collaboration with these partners.

Founded in 1992, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève holds a unique place in the French-speaking Swiss music scene. Its repertoire, spanning from the Baroque period to contemporary creation, reflects a constant curiosity and a strong appetite for artistic encounters.

Under the direction of Raphaël Merlin, the orchestra brings together 37 permanent musicians and has a rich programme of concerts, educational projects and collaborations with numerous cultural partners. Rooted in Geneva while reaching far beyond the region, the OCG champions a vision of music that is both demanding and accessible.

As a resident organisation at Concorde, the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève contributes to the life of the venue on a daily basis. Rehearsals, concerts, cultural engagement activities and encounters with audiences all help place music at the heart of the cultural centre.

The Contemporary Dance programme at CFP Arts, which admits students through an entrance audition, is one of Concorde’s resident partners. Each year, it supports young dancers in their artistic and professional training, providing them with a learning environment that is closely connected to the realities of the profession.

At Concorde, work and rehearsal spaces also become places for learning and knowledge sharing. Students develop their daily practice, meet guest artists and work in an environment where artistic creation takes many different forms.

This close connection between training, creation and presentation helps make Concorde a vibrant place, where learning naturally becomes part of a broader artistic ecosystem.

The presence of the Châtelaine library at Concorde tells part of the story of the venue. Run by the City of Vernier and its cultural department, the library reflects a shared ambition: to make Concorde a space that is open to its community and accessible to everyone.

A place for reading, discovery and learning, the library welcomes people of all ages every day. Visitors come to borrow a book, take part in an activity, work or simply take a moment to pause.

Through its presence, Concorde reaffirms its commitment to a culture that is lived and experienced close to local residents - both through major events and in the everyday ways people use the space.

The Collectif d’Associations pour l’Urgence Sociale (CausE) is an association that has been active in the field of social housing since 2020. The collective brings together several member organisations: the Salvation Army, Bateau Genève, Caritas Geneva, Centre la Roseraie, Centre social protestant and Première ligne.

CausE aims to develop and support innovative, practical and dignified responses to the challenges faced by people experiencing precarious living conditions, guided by principles of universality and unconditional support.

CausE operates several emergency accommodation and support programmes for people experiencing homelessness across multiple sites in Geneva, with a total capacity of 130 places.

At Concorde, CausE will find spaces that foster exchange and conviviality.

The Fondation Officielle de la Jeunesse (FOJ) works to support the psychosocial development of children, adolescents and young people facing difficulties, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions.

As a resident organisation at Concorde, its presence enables the FOJ to connect more closely with certain communities and develop meaningful exchanges with them.
