Cultural center
A place to live and connect, where culture becomes a force for social cohesion.
Places matter. They shape our habits, our encounters and the ways in which we participate in cultural life. That is why Concorde was conceived as a place that is open, vibrant and rooted in its community.
Supporting artistic creation, working alongside artists, welcoming diverse audiences, collaborating with cultural organisations and associations, and building connections with the neighbourhood and its residents: these are not separate missions.
They are all part of the same ambition.
With artists
Supporting and nurturing artistic creation at the heart of the cultural project.
Concorde has its Associate artists. They are partners in its cultural projects, in its development as a place open to its neighbourhood, its municipality and its canton, and in the way it welcomes both audiences and artists.
The Associate artists are carefully chosen partners and valued ambassadors. Concorde is there for them just as much as they are there for Concorde.
For the next three seasons, Concorde is embracing the idea of complementarity by inviting four artists and companies to become its Associate artists. Alliance Créative and its improvisational theatre, Collectif du Feu de dieu, working across dance and clowning, Kiyan Khoshoie in dance, and Pekodjinn in musical composition have all taken up the challenge. They will benefit from long-term artistic support and dedicated accompaniment throughout the creative process.

Kiyan Khoshoie
Kiyan Khoshoie is a Swiss-Iranian dancer and choreographer trained at the Rotterdam Dance Academy. After working in the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, he returned to Switzerland to develop his own projects.
In 2018, he created the solo Grand Ecart, which was selected for the 2021 Swiss Dance Days and the Sélection Suisse en Avignon.
In 2022, together with Charlotte Dumartheray, he created Kick Ball Change, which was adapted into a film and selected for the 59th Solothurn Film Festival. In 2024, his performance Wannabe premiered at the Pavillon de la danse in Geneva, before touring in Switzerland and France. Since the 2025/2026 season, he has been an associate artist at Usine à Gaz in Nyon. Kiyan Khoshoie also teaches as a guest instructor at Ballet Junior de Genève and at CFP Arts Genève, a resident organisation at Concorde.
Between March and May 2027, Kiyan Khoshoie will lead dance workshops for amateur participants based on the choreographic material from his performance Body Electric. A public presentation is planned as part of the 2027 Fête de la danse in Geneva.
On the programme this season:

Alliance Créative
In 2020, Nina Cachelin, Adrien Laplana and Eric Lecoultre, three professional improvisers from Geneva, decided to found their own company. Alliance Créative was born from their ambitious vision of improvisation: as a popular and demanding art form, capable of engaging in dialogue with other disciplines.
Since then, Alliance Créative has developed numerous concepts. Each creation explores a different artistic language, with a constant desire to surprise audiences and reinvent the stage experience.
Through its performances, the company champions the art of improvisation across French-speaking Switzerland, as well as in France and Belgium.
On the programme this season:

Collectif du Feu de dieu
Collectif du Feu de dieu is a Geneva-based company. Active since 2018, it brings together artists from the fields of dance, theatre, clowning, storytelling and music. The company is led by contemporary dancer Ambre Pini and multidisciplinary artist Violeta Hodgers.
The collective was born from a twofold desire: to create spaces for symbolic experiences inspired by the notion of ritual and drawing on a shared memory; and to collectively share emotions through dance and song, leaving behind a lasting memory.
On the programme this season:

Pekodjinn
Pekodjinn is a Tunisian-Italian artist, producer and DJ based in Geneva. He has developed a distinctive musical identity at the intersection of the electronic scene, the African diaspora and North African sonic heritage. His style is rooted in a highly percussive approach to music, blending Maghrebi rhythms, batida, br funk, afro-house and contemporary club music.
Recognised both locally and internationally, his DJ sets stand out for their energy and their eclectic mix of influences.
Concorde supports artists at different stages of their creative journeys. Residencies provide time, workspaces and the conditions needed for research, experimentation and the development of projects.
Some artists also receive co-production support, including technical and financial contributions, enabling them to create and present their work.
Designed as opportunities for both exchange and creation, the residencies are an integral part of life at Concorde and encourage dialogue with audiences, partners and other artists present at the venue.
Work-in-progress showings and residency presentations will feature throughout the programme over the course of the season.
For its first season, Concorde is welcoming 9 artists and companies for creative and research residencies:
- Edouard Hue – Beaver Dam Company
- Kiyan Khoshoie
- Caroline de Cornière – Cie C2C
- Le Galactik Ensemble
- Stalamuerte
- Collectif du Feu de dieu
- Alliance Créative
- Muriel Imbach – Cie La Bocca della Luna
- Marion Thomas – Cie FRAG
These residencies give artists and companies the opportunity to work in suitable spaces for several weeks, while also connecting with the people who bring Concorde to life - those who pass through, take a break, or work there at the same time. As part of these residencies, Concorde also supports artists in their research and, where applicable, co-produces their creations.
We are always delighted to discover the many projects that arrive in our inbox. However, to ensure that we can consider your proposal under the best possible conditions, please take a moment to review the programming criteria and conditions below.
- As a general rule, we do not program artists whose work we do not know or have never seen. The first step is therefore an invitation to discover your work (a residency showing, work-in-progress presentation, performance, etc.). We are happy to travel to see it;
- Please make sure that your proposal is aligned with our artistic direction and consider whether it could resonate with our programme;
- Please specify your expectations and needs (residency, co-production, advance booking, audience engagement projects, etc.) and send them to programmation(at)concorde.ch;
- We prioritise direct, targeted invitations and enquiries and do not respond to newsletters or generic emails.
With you
Culture happens on and off the stage.
We believe that a cultural venue should be a place for encounters, dialogue and experimentation. That is why cultural engagement and participation are at the heart of our project.
Cultural engagement creates connections between artistic works, artists and audiences. It takes the form of encounters, workshops, projects and exchanges, giving everyone the opportunity to engage with an artistic proposal in a way that reflects their own journey and perspective.
Cultural participation goes a step further. It invites local residents, associations, schools, partners and audiences to take part in projects, share their experiences and ideas, and sometimes contribute directly to the creative process.
This approach is rooted in Concorde’s very history. Located in the heart of Vernier, the venue was conceived as a space that is open to its community and in dialogue with the people who live there every day.
Throughout the season, the cultural engagement team will develop projects with schools, community centres, associations, social institutions and local cultural organisations and practitioners. These collaborations will create more opportunities for encounters and help make Concorde a vibrant place to live, meet and connect.
All projects will be announced soon.
