Optraken
Galactik Ensemble
There are the learned behaviours that help us cope with specific situations, and there are those that are ‘spontaneous’, which enable us to navigate a suddenly hostile environment.
It is these elements that lie at the heart of Galactik Ensemble’s work, which seeks, collectively and through situational acrobatics, to cope with the unpredictable incidents that arise within a given space.
When, for a brief moment, control slips from our grasp, how do we move from evading a fall to actually falling, or to regaining our balance? With great skill, the five performers take us through a whole range of emotions and allow us to experience moments of intense excitement! Optraken is a spectacular production and a demonstration of the almost infinite possibilities our bodies have to adapt and cope with the unexpected.
