Sauvages
L’Orchestre de Chambre de Genève / Claude Barras
In collaboration with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra
In Borneo, near the rainforest, Kéria takes in a baby orangutan on the plantation where her father works. At the same time, her cousin Selaï comes to seek refuge with them to escape the conflict between his nomadic family and the logging companies. Together, Kéria, Selaï and the baby ape, named ‘Oshi’, will brave every obstacle to fight against the destruction of the forest.
This is the story behind Sauvages, Claude Barras’s acclaimed animated film. For this film-concert, it is presented in a version set to music by two bird-singers, accompanied by soloists from the Geneva Chamber Orchestra.
Film and live music, a feast for the eyes and ears – how can you resist?
The Geneva Chamber Orchestra is a resident organisation at Concorde.
