Chœur des amants
Tiago Rodrigues
Chœur des amants by Tiago Rodrigues is a lyrical tale of two lovers facing a life-or-death situation in which oxygen is beginning to run out.
Two actors tell us, simultaneously, slightly different versions of the same story, celebrating love when everything is called into question, yet without knowing how to go about living a normal life.
To watch Tiago Rodrigues’ LeChœur des amants is to be swept away by a torrent of whirling words: to let oneself be carried away, despite the weight of the words, by the gentleness that emanates from the performers’ presence, delivery and demeanour. Here we are faced with a performance of rare intensity, as intimate as it is poignant.

Tiago Rodrigues
Ever since he began his career as a playwright at the age of 20, Tiago Rodrigues has always viewed the theatre as a gathering of people: a place where people meet, just as they would in a café, to exchange ideas and spend time together.
