Stratégies souterraines
Collectif du Feu de dieu
In The Myth of Sisyphus, Albert Camus describes the absurd as the clash between our need to understand and the silence of a world that offers us no answers.
With humour and poetry, the Collectif du Feu de dieu takes up this idea to raise the big questions: why are we here? How can we carry on when the meaning of our existence eludes us?
On stage, a dancer and a clown-actress follow the chalk outline of a large circle. They move along it, step out of it, return to it – sometimes alone, sometimes inviting the audience to join in. Little by little, this simple circle becomes the setting for a journey of initiation and philosophical exploration.
Stratégies souterraines is a tragicomic fable, full of tenderness, humour and mischief, which examines our existential torments without ever looking down on them.
A show that makes you smile as much as it makes you think.
The Collectif du Feu de dieu is an associate artist of Concorde until 2029 and is in residence for this production.
