Under the artistic direction of Cédric Andrieux, the Lyon Opera Ballet – a pioneer in this field – continues to explore the most demanding contemporary choreographic styles.

Keen to foster dialogue between different repertoires, whilst allowing itself to serve as a testing ground for experimental and innovative forms, it is a home for the great artists of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Deeply rooted in its local community yet keen to make its mark on the international stage, the company – comprising some thirty dancers – passionately conveys the history of dance and helps to shape its future, whilst remaining constantly attuned to the issues of our time.
