Edouard Hue

Dance

Edouard Hue is, above all, a dancer who uses his physicality to express pure movement.

As a dancer, he explores the extremes in the work of choreographers Hofesh Shechter, Damien Jalet and Olivier Dubois. Drawing on these contrasting experiences, he constantly seeks to push the boundaries of the body and movement, exploring extraordinary sensations.

In 2014, he founded the Geneva-based Beaver Dam Company, through which he expressed his vision of dance as an ode to emotional release, elevated by demanding choreographic complexity. Within this framework, he has created nine original works for solo, duet, trio, quintet, septet and ‘notette’, including the major pieces All I Need and Dive. His creations, recognised on the international stage, have been acclaimed by critics.

The choreographer has also created commissioned works for prestigious companies in Singapore, Germany, Scotland and France.

In 2019, he received the Swiss Dance Prize as an ‘Outstanding Dancer’.
