Eric Feldman

Theatre

Eric Feldman, a writer and actor, was born in Paris, where he still lives. In 1995, he wrote, directed and starred in a short film entitled J’étais pas fait pour ça (I wasn’t cut out for that – that being life). It was a huge hit with his friends.

He then began working in theatre with Emmanuel Ostrovski, staging adaptations of non-dramatic literary works (Pasolini, Duras, Péguy, Artaud, Robert Antelme, Charles Juliet, Pierre Goldman).

He then performed with the small international troupe at the Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards Workcentre (Pontedera, Italy), appearing in numerous productions in France. In particular, he took part in several productions directed by Joël Pommerat.

In 2023, he finished writing his play On ne jouait pas à la pétanque dans le ghetto de Varsovie (We Didn’t Play Pétanque in the Warsaw Ghetto), which he will premiere in 2024 and perform, amongst other venues, at the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris in November and December of that year.
