A visionary masterpiece by Jean-Philippe Rameau, Les Indes galantes continues, nearly three centuries after its creation, to question our relationship with otherness and with the narratives that societies build around the elsewhere.

For this production, Leonardo García-Alarcón and Bintou Dembélé set Rameau's musical richness in dialogue with a virtuoso choreographic language nourished by urban cultures. At the head of Cappella Mediterranea, the Argentine conductor reveals all the power of a teeming score, while the choreographer unfolds a stage world of remarkable intensity, shot through with questions of identity, representation and inheritance.

This encounter creates a fertile dialogue between baroque heritage and contemporary creation. A way of rediscovering Les Indes galantes in all its complexity, without losing any of its brilliance or its power to provoke questions.
